Taking photos is my favorite thing to do. My love for it has led me to become a professional photographer.
Some cool stuff I've experienced in my career:
- Winning the People's Choice Award in the Artists Wanted: The Power of SELF competition. This includes a $1000 grant, a publicity push, AND a show in NYC on March 12, 2010
- Meeting my husband, artist Rick Baker after he noticed my photos on Flickr
- Getting five of my theater photos published in the New York Times
- Being chosen as a Getty Images Artist
- Being chosen as a Gawker Artist
- Being given shoes, a camera, and ten rolls of film by KangaROOS and Lomo and being asked to document my life for two weeks for a campaign
- Reaching over 1.65 million views on my Flickr photo stream
- Making it to People's Choice Top 20 in the Artists Wanted: Exposure competition and having my photos projected at a Dubai Brooklyn party/event
- Having my "Who Framed...?" project highlighted in the Photojojo newsletter and website
I've taken photos for such clients as the American Cancer Society, RockCorps, Neighborhoodies, Target Margin Theater, Real Pilates, Michael Cerveris, Carded.tv, Loser's Lounge, Joe McGinty's Piano Parlour, OK|OK, Circuit Parade, Madonnathon, 100 Songs In 100 Days, Log Cabin Dreams, and more!
